KOHAI DISPATCH: “THE DAY THE CITY GLITCHED”
Share
The city of Neo-Jersey District 12 was buzzing like always—hover bikes zipping through the sky lanes, neon kanji signs flickering against the noon haze, and street vendors yelling about the latest limited-run mochi drop.
But for Kohai, today wasn’t supposed to be anything special. Just another day delivering packs for the Mixed Kohai crew.
At least… until the glitch hit.
One minute, Kohai was cruising through the alley shortcut behind Pixel Tower. The next, a wave of static rolled across the sky like someone smacked reality’s light switch.
All the ads froze mid-frame. Every screen went dim. Even the vending machines stopped humming.
Then the static formed a shape.
A masked figure—half-digital, half-spirit—emerged from the distortion.
“Kohai…” the voice echoed, layered like it came from two worlds.
“You’re late.”
Kohai blinked. “Late for what? I’m literally just doing deliveries, bro.”
The glitch-spirit raised a hand. Runes flickered like loading icons.
“Your next mission. The city’s balance is shifting. And only a Mixed Kohai can decode the disruption.”
A glowing box materialized in front of Kohai, marked with the symbol of the brand—MK, wrapped in a swirling aura of red, tan, and electric neon.
Inside?
A brand-new prototype jacket…
Version Zero.
The spirit continued:
“Wear it, and you’ll see the truth. The city is changing—its styles, its culture, its dreams. And you… you’re the one who must carry them forward.”
Kohai smirked. “So basically… drip saves the world?”
“Exactly.”
With a shrug and a grin, Kohai threw on the jacket—and instantly, the world snapped into hyper-color anime mode.
Streetwear spirits awakened from shadows.
Hidden style realms lit up between buildings.
And in the distance… something big was coming.
Kohai revved up the hoverboard.
“Alright then,” they said. “Dispatch accepted.”
